gonna fall in love tonight

This song started its journey full of lonesome late night longing - guitar and harmonica.  Anna and Allen reshaped it as a conversation in two people's heads. Comes as no surprise to me now how they transformed it into a sweet love song. It's what they do. -- James

I got this idea it’s rolling around my head tonight round and round all night
I’m gonna fall in love tonight

Cut the engine, pull the brake Lucky Joe’s bar is across the street beneath the neon lights where everyone’s looking for love tonight

Set ‘em up I’ll knock ‘em down ain’t no one like me in town
I’ll cut across the floor what’s gone before don’t matter no more it’s all going to feel right when  I’m falling in love tonight

I got this idea  it’s rolling around my head tonight round and round all night
I’m gonna fall in love tonight

Slip on a dress, head across town at Lucky Joe’s love’s going down beneath the neon lights where everyone’s hopeful tonight

Take my time to pick him out start to figure what’s he’s about
I’ll cut across the floor what’s gone before don’t matter no more it’s all going to feel all right  if I fall in love tonight

I pull her close, right next to me  smell her neck so sweet just like honey to the bee, oh she’s gotta be falling for me

Let him close, reel it all in just like a child, he don’t know who I am but that’s all right  we’ll see what happens tonight

Smiles crease and fade away He’s/She’s turning, turning away
House lights on, exit flow where might he/she go…?

I got this idea  it’s rolling around my head tonight round and round all right
I’m gonna fall in love tonight

I got this idea   it’s rolling around my head tonight round and round all right
I’m gonna fall in love tonight
I’m gonna fall in love tonight
I’m gonna fall in love tonight
